The BOM of the RMGC are delighted to be able to announce that the building permit for the extension and refurbishment of the Clubhouse at the RMGC was finally approved by MEPA last Wednesday. This concludes a process that saw the RMGC first apply for permission to build a locker room and changing rooms back in 2001 under the Captaincy and initiative of Tony Bonello during his year.
Since then, various Boards and Committees have contributed to the project, with a final master plan completed in 2008.
The permit granted covers all phases of the project, although, at this stage, just phase one (new locker rooms and kitchen area) is approved by the RMGC Membership.
It is now envisaged that construction work will commence within the next 3-4 weeks and will take 16 weeks to complete.
